Agency for Strategic Initiatives is the autonomous non-profit organisation established by the Government of Russia in order to implement set of measures in economic and social spheres. The mission of the agency is to create opportunities for self-actualisation of young ambitious leaders capable of bringing Russia to the frontline, building the country to live and work. Key features include:
A. Support for initiatives
B. The elimination of administrative barriers
C. Support for young professional teams (administrative, guidance and financial support).
The Agency supports projects within three general domains:
A. “New business” branch, involving unique business projects and innovative technologies.
B. “Young professionals” branch, supporting professional associations. The branch also covers Global Education initiative that allows talented and ambitious Russian professionals to obtain Master, PhD or post-doctorate degree from top international universities under condition to return to Russia and be integrated into governance, education, local high-tech companies or social institutions.
C. “Social projects” branch, promoting and distributing socially important initiatives such as education, healthcare, charity, etc.
Key objectives of the Agency are:
A. Promotion of projects and initiatives, and fast-growing medium-sized businesses in the social sphere.
B. The development and increasing the number of leaders from the medium-sized businesses and social sector.
C. Improving the business climate, creating a positive image of entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship in the Russian society.
D. Promote the development of professional competencies.
E. The development of NGOs in the social services sector.
